ESL Federal Credit Union announces that its annual meeting of members will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 4 p.m. at the Credit Union's Corporate Headquarters, 225 Chestnut Street, Rochester, New York. The Nominating and Governance Committee of ESL Federal Credit Union has selected nominees for vacancies on the Board of Directors. The nominees for the positions, together with their qualifications and biographical data, are:
Jane Hasselkus – Ms. Hasselkus has over 25 years of marketing, business management, and strategic planning experience in a variety of industries and geographic markets. Most recently she served as the Senior Director, Life Cycle Management for Cooper Vision, Inc. She has also worked for Carestream Health, as its Director, United States & Canada Sales Operations and Eastman Kodak Company, supporting its Health Group in multiple roles, including serving as its Business Operations Director. Ms. Hasselkus earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She currently serves as Board Chair for GEVA Theatre and previously served on the Board’s of Volunteers of America Upstate New York and YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County.
Corinda Reaves - Ms. Reaves has over 24 years of experience in government service, holding an array of positions, including Deputy County Executive for Health and Human Services, Commissioner of the Monroe County Department for Human Services, and Director of the New York State Office for the Aging. In May of 2023 Ms. Reaves joined the executive leadership team at Rochester-Genesee Regional Transit Authority, where she serves as its Chief Community and Customer Experience Officer. She holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology from SUNY Brockport and earned her master’s degree from Syracuse University. Ms. Reaves serves on the Board of Action for a Better Community.
Faheem Masood – Mr. Masood serves as President & CEO of ESL Federal Credit Union, assuming this leadership position in March 2016. Prior to his present position, he was appointed President & COO in May 2012. In that role, he directed the personal banking, business banking, and wealth management lines of business, which include ESL Investment Services, LLC (ISLLC), operations, lending center, marketing, branch and contact center, and corporate planning. Mr. Masood received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Allegheny College and earned an MBA from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Active in the community, Mr. Masood serves on the board of directors of the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes, Geva Theatre Center, and Lifetime Health Care Companies. He also serves on the Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council.
Nominations for vacancies may also be made by petition signed by 500 members. Each nominee by petition shall submit with the petition a statement of qualifications and biographical data similar to the statement prepared by each nominee submitted by the Nominating and Governance Committee. The nominating petitions shall be accompanied by a signed certificate from each nominee stating that the nominee accepts the nomination and will serve if elected to office. Completed petition forms must be returned to the Board Secretary no later than 5:00 PM on December 13, 2024.
In the event that there is only one nominee for each position to be filled, then the election will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor. Further, in the event that there is more than one nominee for any position to be filled, voting instructions will be provided to all members eligible to vote, ages 18 and older, no later than December 18, 2024.
Members who join the Credit Union or become age 18 after December 1, 2024, are not eligible to vote until the next annual election.
